Chiltern Green Energy Park is an exciting new development for Luton and Central Bedfordshire.
Emsrayne Renewable Energy Ltd are no strangers to innovation in this field, having brought the first solar farm to Central Bedfordshire in 2014. The company now own two solar farms in the area, generating energy for local homes, businesses and the National Grid. This new energy from waste facility will add to their portfolio of green, sustainable energy solutions, bringing affordable energy, employment and investment to the local community and beyond.
Through the solar farm planning agreement, Emsrayne Renewable Energy Ltd set up the Angus Brewer Community Fund - a charitable trust funded by the company. In Caddington, the fund provides £17.5k per year for local community groups and projects, particularly those involving sustainable energy. The Chiltern Green Energy Park will establish a similar fund, making a donation of £50,000 per year for the next twenty years to be made available to community projects in East Hyde and New Mill End.
“Chiltern Green Energy Park is an exciting development for Luton and Central Beds and an essential investment into sustainable waste management and energy production for our future” Gavin Shuker, MP for Luton South
